Introducing ICAEW Business Advice Service
Introducing ICAEW Business Advice Service
Now more than ever, businesses need trusted professional advice to ensure they are equipped to not only take advantage of the government’s support programmes, but also emerge from the current challenges towards future growth.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales (ICAEW) Business Advice Service (BAS) helps connect UK businesses with regulated firms who provide a free initial consultation, without any obligation.
Watch the video below to find out more about the benefits of BAS from ICAEW’s Nila Khan.
Did you know that anyone can provide accountancy and taxation services, regardless of whether they have specialist experience, technical skills, qualifications or professional indemnity insurance?
ICAEW has played a leading role in the accountancy profession for more than a century and works to protect the public interest by making sure its firms, members, students and affiliates maintain the highest standards of professional competency and conduct.
Becoming an ICAEW Chartered Accountant involves three years’ on-the-job training and passing a series of rigorous examinations. Once qualified, all ICAEW chartered accountants and member firms are regulated and provide their specialist advice and services to the highest professional levels.
- Ethics
- Professional indemnity insurance
- Quality assurance
- Continuous professional development
Member firms must follow the appropriate laws, regulations and standards. ICAEW also has well-established policies and easy to access procedures in place to handle complaints, in the unlikely case that they should occur.
In the below video Sean Farnell, Partner at Burgis and Bullock Chartered Accountants, describes their role as a BAS certified firm, the services they provide and how they can help SMEs during this uncertain time.
